Round Racing Filter
We have universal round filters
for your carbureted racing engine in different
diameters and heights. Diameters range from 9"
to 16" with height ranging from 2" to 10".
Some of these filters have expanded metal mesh for
greater structural integrity.
Like all our filters, these
filters are made with the deepest pleats possible
using 100% engineering grade polyurethane. The
top and bottom urethane rings have a bump seal that
insures tight, dust free seating to whatever dish
you might use.
Hot Rod Magazine did a comparison
of 14" round filters that showed that our filters
out-flowed all our competitors.
To go with our universal round
filters, we offer a standard 7/8" drop chrome top
and pan that you can buy together as an assembly or
separately.
TOP Racer Round Racing Filter
For these same racers with
carbureted engine, we have developed with something
so new that we've applied for a patent. TOP stands
for The One Piece. If you look at this drawing, you
can see why we named it that way.
The top portion of the filter is
molded together with the side portion to make one
huge air filter. Notice the metal rib
that is molded into the
underbelly so that it is more rigid.
There are other filters like this
on the market but they consist of a side filter and
a top. The problem with this design is
that
the top, side and separate, let a lot of
dirt get into the motor. The last thing you want
when you in the middle of a competitive race is to
get a DNF because of a blown engine due to dirt. With TOP (The One Piece) Racer, you
don't have to worry about this happening.

Racers in 3 heights: 3", 4", 5" in the most common
diameter used by racers, 14" .
Universal clamp-on (UCO)
Filters
With fuel injected engines, you
will not be able to use the universal round
filters. Not to worry. We offer a full line of
universal clamp-on filters as well.
Many
of these are the same filters that we use on our own
intake systems. Internal flange diameter sizes range
from the smallest 2 1/4" flange ID to 6" flange ID.
Overall heights range from 5" to a very tall 14".
We also offer full range of
inverted top universal clamp-on filters.
All our universal clamp-on filters
feature 100% engineering grade polyurethane that
insures flexible, tight seal to any diameter tube
you want to put these on. For additional insurance
against any possibility of leakage, we have designed
small ridges into the flange.
Another
feature that we design into our universal clamp-on
filters is either a full-velocity stack that you see
here or
a modified velocity stack which is a straight
45degree angle cut. These velocity stack allow the
air to smoothly bend around the inlet into the
throttle. The result is that you get more airflow
at a better velocity than if you had just a straight
tube.
Crankcase Vent Breathers
The smallest of our racing filters
are the crankcase vent breathers. These range in
size from a .31 inch flange ID to 1.5" ID. Height
range from 1.13" to 3". Since these are generally
used right up against the crankcase, some of these
breathers have a chrome shield to protect the filter
from the heat.
